People are ready to move, and 55 Spring Hill homes closed in March, a 10 percent increase over March of 2010. The average price of homes sold was $193,077 and the average size of homes sold was 2174 square ft. 66 Spring Hill homes are currently pending sale, and 436 homes are listed in the Spring Hill MLS as available for purchase. The absorbtion rate based on March closings is 8 months, but based on the pending sales, It's headed into more of a 6 month absorbtion rate.

Several encouraging announcements were made concerning Spring Hill in the last month. The Mars corporation is moving it's corporate office currently in leased office space in Cool Springs to a new 500,000 square ft office building to be built at the corner of Columbia highway and I-840. The president of the UAW announced that the GM plant in Spring Hill may reopen as soon as September. A theme park was announced and land has been rezoned for commercial use south of Saturn Pkwy in Spring Hill, we are still waiting for a plan to fund the project. But the best news is that the project to widen I-65 is under way, and will soon eliminate the frustration and danger of stop and go traffic during rush hour on the interstate.
