1. You can change the colors of the walls, but you can't repair a bad location.
2. In 15 years you can have your house paid off - Wouldn't that be a great feeling?
3. The price of a fixer is living in the house while you fix it, and then finding out that it cost as much after the repairs as the home in good condition.
4. Believe it or not, the real estate agent knows more about real estate than you do, or your friends and relatives. If not, find a better agent.
5. Your friends are just jealous.
6. Location means more than just a great neighborhood, is an hour drive to work a good way to spend your time.
7. The yard doesn't take care of itself, and the house cost more than just the payments.
