Nashville short sales
Nashville real estate - I have a buyer who has been trying to purchase short sale or bank owned property in Franklin for 4 months. We had a good offer in on a short sale property in Falcon creek, but many other offers were also made on the same property. After 2 months of waiting, another offer was taken. We are now attempting to find a suitable home for her, and it probably won't be a short sale property.
Please understand that dealing with bank owned or bank approvals with Nashville real estate right now is a very slow process, and the prices are not usually as good a deal as you might think.
We feel like it's easier to purchase a home that's still controlled by the home owner, because the market prices are down compared to last year, and you can control the process and have some idea of when you can move it. My recommendation is that short sales and foreclosures are good for investors, not so much for residents. TIme really does matter, and you may miss a great interest rate opportunity if you have to wait for months before you know if you are the highest bidder."
